We have experienced some prolonged network outages today. This is due to a problem affecting a number of routers at our upstream providers. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this issue.

Email maintenance

We will be carrying out maintenance on our mail system on Tuesday 6 May between about 18:30 and 23:30 BST. During this time mail will be unavailable for periods.

The maintenance is necessary in order to migrate mail handling to new equipment. Every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum. Should you experience any issues with mail handled by Raggedstaff Internet over the next few days please contact support@raggedstaff.net with full details, including the text of any error messages you see from your software.

As a result of these changes the IP addresses of our mail servers will change. If your email software has been configured with the recommended server names (see http://www.raggedstaff.net/cms/index.php?section=10) the change should be transparent to you. Please take a moment to ensure that you are using the recommended server names.

Full service restored

We are pleased to announce that the problems with ns2 have been resolved and all Raggedstaff services are now running as normal.

DNS service degraded

Problems have been encountered carrying out work on one of our DNS servers. As a result we are currently operating on only two DNS servers. It is unlikely that any significant reduction in service will be noticed.

Additionally, there is no NTP service available on ntp.raggedstaff.net. NTP continues to be available from rupert.raggedstaff.net

ns2 unavailable

ns2.raggedstaff.net (aka ns2.raggedstaff.co.uk) is currently unavailable whilst we undertake a scheduled hardware upgrade. ns0 and ns1 continue to serve DNS information for all Raggedstaff hosted domains.
